PP_Oct8It has been six months since Italy’s Abruzzo region was struck by an earthquake that killed hundreds of people and injured thousands. The Walk for Abruzzo, organized by The Abruzzo Earthquake Relief Fund and Villa Charities, was held at the Boyd Conservation Area. Over $60,000 was raised to help reconstruct the 49 towns affected by the earthquake and to assist the Italian government with emergency services. This family-themed event contained a barbeque and featured two special guests, Toronto Raptors Andrea Bargnani and Marco Bellinelli. The event was held on Sept. 20.
