When hunger strikes, there’s nothing quite like biting into a warm, toasty piece of bread. As a vital source of energy and a staple item at the dinner table, bread is an essential part of the North American diet. That’s why we need to choose breads of the freshest and healthiest variety, says Maurizio Barbieri, president and founder of BioBake. “You want to know that what you’re eating is natural and pure. And with our bread, that’s exactly what you’re getting.”

Stepping into the bakery, you are greeted by Gabe, friendly staff, and a delightful combination of mouth-watering scents. Simply delicious and truly nutritious, all of BioBake’s confections please the palate and feed the soul. As an organic and HACCP-certified company, consumers can rest assured that all of BioBake’s products are made with only pure, unprocessed ingredients.

Breaking onto the bakery scene in 1997, Barbieri and his father-in-law, master baker Victor DiMarantonio, were approached by restaurants looking for a fresh alterative to the bread they were serving. After coming up with a way to deliver frozen organic dough to restaurants, the duo decided to delve deeper into the organic field. Today, BioBake offers over 50 products ranging from the sweet to the savoury, including muffins, pizza, nine types of bread and even organic hummus. The company also offers a line that is 100 per cent certified organic, and a Health Sense line that addresses various health concerns such as diabetes, gluten allergies, and heart health by reducing fat and cholesterol and increasing fibre. Preston Market, another of the bakery’s health-conscious streams, uses only natural, clean ingredients to produce sinful sweets such as cookies and waffles.

Taking its organic mandate one step further, BioBake ensures that all of its grain is grown, milled and manufactured in York Region – making it a true local bakery in the area.

Dear BioBake, I understand that you sell wholesale only but could you provide a list of local stores that sell your spelt products please. I live in Richmond Hill and work in Woodbridge and used to come to the store there. It would be greatly appreciated if you could provide the name of a couple of stores that carry your spelt products so I can buy them for my wife.
    Thanks,

Could you please provide me with retail locations in the Toronto/GTA area where I would find your products. I use to come to your store front to purchase your muffins and would like to know where I can find them now.

    Thank you
