Northern Karate Kids help fight Cancer
Since black belt student Brooke-Lynn Brunette passed away from leukemia in 2006, the students of the Northern Karate School in Richmond Hill have held an annual Brooke Brunette Kids Friendship Charity Tournament. On Oct. 24th, 2009, students fought to kick cancer to the curb by taking part in the tournament, which raised $8,280 for the Starlight Children’s Foundation. www.starlightcanada.org, www.northernkarate.com
