Growing up, Thalassinos always had a love of beautiful things. “My mother was a custom dressmaker and I would always see luxurious fabrics and one-of-a-kind pieces.” Following in her mother’s footsteps, this businesswoman first started as a fashion designer for her own successful line of children’s clothing. After years of compliments on the look of her home, it was time to apply her knack for decorating and creative vision to yet another endeavour.

Thalassinos soon became an expert in the home staging industry and a successful interior decorator. “When staging a property, we create an emotional connection with the potential buyers,” says the certified Canadian Staging Professional (CSP®). “We help homes sell faster and for more money.” She maximizes space and appeals to everyone’s visual palate by opting for warm and neutral colours while creating a ‘wow factor’ in each room.

When designing for living, Thalassinos gets personal. “I really like to listen to my client’s likes and dislikes, and I even interview the kids if I’m doing their rooms,” says Thalassinos. “My decorating style is transitional – a marriage of modern and traditional.” She leans towards black and white as her backdrop, adding punches of bright colour with throw pillows and bold accessories. This designer diva takes risks and incorporates trends, while always aiming for looks that last.
